John Mark Mattox

John Mark Mattox is the General Hugh Shelton Chair in Ethics and Visiting Professor at The U.S. Army Command and General Staff College and a Senior Research Fellow at the National Defense University Center for the Study of Weapons of Mass Destruction. A retired U.S. Army Colonel, he is the former Dean of the Defense Threat Reduction University and Commandant of the Defense Nuclear Weapons School. He served on three continents as a field artillery officer and is a veteran of the First Gulf War. He has taught at the United States Military Academy and the University of Maryland.
