J. Sumerau

J. Sumerau is an assistant professor of sociology at the University of Tampa. His teaching and research examines the intersection of sexualities, gender, religion, and health in the historical and interpersonal experiences of religious and sexual minorities, and has been published in edited volumes and peer-reviewed academic journals including but not limited to Gender & Society, Journal of Contemporary Ethnography, Symbolic Interaction, Journal of Sex Research, Men and Masculinities, Journal for the Scientific Study of Religion, and Sociology of Religion.

Sumerau contributed a chapter to Voices for Equality: Ordain Women and Resurgent Mormon Feminism.
