Gordon Conrad Thomasson

avatarGordon Conrad Thomasson is an emeritus professor who has taught at numerous institutions. He did graduate study and worked as a research assistant with Hugh W. Nibley at Brigham Young University, and holds a PhD from Cornell. He was principal author, editor, and publisher of War, Conscription, Conscience and Mormonism (1971). He was employed in Liberia during its military coup (1980–82) and in the Sudan during a relative lull in its protracted war (1985); and he has also spent time in Kuwait and Mexico. Recent among his publications is an article on the LDS Church for the Oxford International Encyclopedia of Peace.

Gordon contributed a chapter to War & Peace in Our Time: Mormon Perspectives.
